Heavy Traffic To Start The Year

It’s been non-stop since the start of the new year. Back to back hunting/sportfishing trade shows in Dallas and in Vegas. Now… preparing for the Miami International Boat Show. We are so excited to see and hear from so many that are looking forward to traveling in 2022. Hence why our calendar has been filling up so fast.

The fishing: THANKS TO YOU! our fleet is non-stop as well. Look below and see how busy January was for us. Sails in January were just like the stock market, up and down. Though, the man in the blue suite (aka blue marlin) and striped marlin made up for those slower days. Talk about slow days, where else around the world can you get this many raises/bites per day? only in Guatemala!

Congratulations to Tom Hughes (pictured above) for a great accomplishment – Billfish Grandslam. A “Grand Slam” is defined by an individual angler catching at least three of the eligible species within a category, per IGFA International Angling Rules. All catches must be made within one calendar day. In our case, it was a sailfish, striped marlin and blue marlin.

We want to give a huge CONGRATS to Zach and Jett Miller for an amazing catch. This father/son trip is one they will never forget. A huge 227.8lb yellowfin tuna on Maverick with Captain Nestor Garcia. Their arms were sore, but it was worth it. It took them an hour and forty five minute fight.
“Pacific Fins is “THE” premier fishing resort in Guatemala. I have been coming to this resort for 2 years and will continue to keep coming back. The resort staff, manager, captains, and deck hands are all top notch. I have fished all over the world and by far this is my favorite place to go. I have been fortunate enough to be blessed with 2 trophy fish here. A 50lb Bull Mahi and a 227lb yellowfin tuna. This place does not disappoint! – Zach Miller.”
